Privacy Policy

BioNestica

Privacy Policy & Terms of Use • Effective Date: 2026

Prelude — Definitions & Scope

This document combines a Privacy Policy (Book One) and Terms of Use (Book Two), followed by common provisions that apply to both (Book Three). It governs the use of bionestica.com (the Store), the website operated under the trade name BioNestica to present a catalog of organic, plastic-free home essentials, a journal of articles, and an email newsletter.

By using the Store or subscribing to its emails, a person agrees to both the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use set out below. Anyone who does not agree should not use the Store.

Defined Terms

The Store means the website at bionestica.com and the content, catalog, journal, emails, and features made available through it.

Shopper. Any person who visits, browses, or subscribes to emails from the Store is referred to as a Shopper.

The BioNestica Parties. BioNestica together with its owner, operators, contractors, contributors, and agents are referred to collectively as the BioNestica Parties.

Nature of the Store

The Store is presented for information and display. The products shown are illustrative of the BioNestica range; the Store does not currently take orders, process payments, or ship products through this website. Any purchasing, fulfillment, or payment, if offered, happens through separate channels governed by their own terms. BioNestica operates the Store as a trade name and does not disclose a separate legal entity or physical address through the Store.

Order of Precedence

If a conflict arises between the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use, the provision more specific to the matter in question controls. The common provisions in Book Three apply to both.

Book One — Privacy Policy

Information Collected

Information You Provide

A Shopper may provide information directly: an email address when subscribing to the newsletter; and a name, email address, and message when using the contact form. Because the Store does not process orders or payments, no payment-card or billing information is collected through the website.

Information Collected Automatically

When a Shopper uses the Store, certain technical information is recorded automatically, which may include IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring and exit pages, and dates and times of access. This information is used in aggregate to keep the Store secure and working properly.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Store uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep the site working, understand how it is used, and measure the performance of its pages and emails. Most browsers allow cookies to be refused or deleted; doing so may affect how parts of the Store function. Where required by law, consent is requested before non-essential cookies are set.

How Information Is Used

Information collected through the Store is used to:

  • send the newsletter and occasional updates that a Shopper has requested;
  • respond to questions and messages submitted through the contact form;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Store and its content;
  • understand which content and products are of interest, in aggregate; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce these terms.

Email Communications and Your Choices

Newsletter and informational emails are sent only to a Shopper who has opted in. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and a Shopper may opt out at any time; the request will be honored promptly. This practice is intended to comply with the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. Because no orders are processed through the Store, transactional order emails are not sent from the website.

How Information Is Shared

Personal information is not sold or rented. It may be shared only as described here.

Service Providers

Information may be shared with vendors that perform functions on behalf of BioNestica, such as website hosting, email-delivery platforms, and analytics providers. These vendors may use information only to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Legal and Protective Disclosures

Information may be disclosed where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or a governmental request, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of BioNestica, its Shoppers, or others.

Business Transfers

If the business operated under the trade name BioNestica is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Links and Services

The Store may link to third-party websites, tools, or resources that BioNestica does not control. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, for which BioNestica is not responsible. A Shopper should review the privacy policy of any third-party site before providing information to it.

Data Security

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards are maintained to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including encryption in transit where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Data Retention

Information is kept only for as long as needed to serve the purposes described here and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, after which it is deleted or de-identified. A Shopper who unsubscribes may still be kept on a suppression list so that no further emails are sent.

Your Privacy Rights

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used and shared, to request access to or deletion of their personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. Personal information is not sold, and there is no “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. Requests may be made using the contact details in Book Three.

Access, Correction, and Deletion

Any Shopper may request access to the personal information held about them, ask that it be corrected, or ask that it be deleted. Identity will be verified before a request is fulfilled, and some information may be retained where law permits or requires.

Rights in the EEA and United Kingdom

Shoppers in the EEA or the UK have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection with respect to their personal information, and may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Processing relies on consent (for newsletter emails) and legitimate interests in operating and improving the Store. Complaints may be lodged with a local supervisory authority.

Children’s Privacy

The Store is directed to adults and is not intended for use by children. Personal information is not knowingly collected from anyone under 18 years of age, and in no case from a child under 13. If it is learned that such information has been collected, it will be deleted promptly.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because no common industry standard governs how “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals should be interpreted, the Store responds to them only to the extent required by applicable law.
